At Pathfinder Career System (PCS) we are committed to protecting your privacy. Our primary business is to provide career assessment services, while ensuring that the personal identity of those participating in our services is protected. Results from our assessment services are not linked to the individual identity of the participants without the informed consent of those participants.

By using this Web site, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Information We Gather On This Web Site

As a standard policy, we do not automatically collect personally identifiable information such as your name, address, or e-mail address during visits to this Web site. Personally identifiable information is only collected with your full knowledge and permission, such as for the purpose of delivering the career assessment services to you. To participate in an assessment, a user is asked to provide contact information (such as name and e-mail address). This information is used to deliver the career assessment services and potential to contact participants for their feedback . When completing the Pathfinderâ„¢ Inventory, it is optional to provide other demographic information, such as occupation and gender. While optional, this information is helpful to our research and validation studies including our objective to maintain the highest standards of diversity and equity in our assessments. Our Web server recognizes your Internet service provider and/or referrer's domain name, IP address and the identity of your Internet browser. This non-personal information helps us to determine the total number of visitors to this Web site and to individual pages.

Participation in Career Assessment Services

PCS provides career services and the following are the guiding principles by which we conduct our business:

  1. All of the information collected will only be used for providing Pathfinder career assessment services to participants, research purposes and as otherwise described in this Statement.
  2. We will never sell or otherwise transmit anyone's name or other personal information to a third party to advertise or market to you.
  3. The only personally identifiable information we may use is an e-mail address or telephone number in order to contact you, for example, to schedule a coaching consultation session. Another example might be when a person has provided permission for us to re-contact them for other purposes, such as to take part in a follow-up evaluation of the career services provided.
  4. For all other purposes only aggregate data are used or data where all personally identifiable or sensitive information have been removed.
  5. We take all steps to protect the security and integrity of the information that participants provide.

Other Ways Your Information May Be Used

In addition to using the collected information in the manners described above, we also use your information as necessary for the efficient conduct of our business. For example, from time to time, PCS may use the services of third party organizations to perform certain services on our behalf. We may use such organizations to send postal mail and e-mail, analyze data, provide client surrvey assistance, and provide customer service. In such cases, these organizations will have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but are prohibited from using it for other purposes. We may also disclose your information as permitted or required by applicable law.

As we continue to grow and develop our business, we might sell or buy other career services sites, subsidiaries or business units or divisions. In such transactions, your personal information generally is one of the transferred business assets but the acquiring organization will be bound by our Privacy Policy and such information will only be used in a manner consistent with purposes for which you provided your information.

Why We Use Cookies
